Ineke Mushovic, Executive Director

Ineke directs the Movement Advancement Project, including MAP's strategic analyses, LGBT movement analyses, and all inquiries into issues of LGBT movement communications. She is a former McKinsey & Company consultant with 15 years of strategy experience, including a successful stint as Vice President of Strategy for a dot-com start-up and as Chief Strategist for an advertising agency. Ineke's nonprofit strategy work includes the YWCA, the United Way, and Impact on Education. She has consulted on LGBT issues since early 2005. Contact Ineke.

 

Nathaniel Frank, Senior Strategist

Nathaniel is the lead author for MAP’s public policy research reports and conducts strategic research and analysis throughout the LGBT movement. Prior to joining MAP, Nathaniel spent 10 years as the senior research fellow at the Palm Center at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is currently on faculty at NYU’s Gallatin School. He is author of the award-winning book, Unfriendly Fire: How the Gay Ban Undermines the Military and Weakens America, and his publications and interviews have appeared in numerous national media outlets ranging from the New York Times to “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Contact. Contact Nathaniel.

 

Naomi Goldberg, Research Associate

Naomi leads MAP’s research and analysis across a wide variety of reports and topic areas. Prior to joining MAP, Naomi was the 2008-2010 Peter J. Cooper Public Policy Fellow at the Williams Institute, UCLA School of Law, where her research focused on adoption and foster care, domestic partner benefits, and the issues affecting older LGBT Americans. Naomi received a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College. Her work has been published in PolicyMatters, Michigan Journal of Public Affairs, TaxNotes, and the Journal of Family Theory & Review. Contact Naomi.

 

Jack Ziegler, Financial Consultant

Jack leads MAP’s LGBT Movement Standard Annual Reporting and all of MAP’s work with LGBT movement CFOs. Formerly a manager with KPMG Peat Marwick, Jack has 23 years consulting experience in areas including management studies; financial management and accounting analyses; organization and operations analyses; systems assessments, requirements definitions, and implementation assistance; budgeting; audits; business plan preparation; and financial forecast models. Jack has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from University of Colorado, an MBA from Babson College and a CPA. Contact Jack.
